Ryota Akiyama
Based in Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture, Ryota Akiyama creates works rooted in the origins of materials and their historical context. By using contemporary elements as a filter, he aims to update existing values and explore new relationships and functions that emerge through interactions with people and spaces. In parallel with his personal practice, he is also a member of the design collective MULTISTANDARD.
