Zhongyu Zhang is a Shanghai- based product designer with an MA from the Royal College of Art, works in Shanghai. Her work has been shown at Milan Design Week, London Design Festival, Paris Design Week, and Design Shanghai. She deconstructs phenomenological materials through typology, integrating urban culture into designs that serve as research and expression. In 2021, she founded MMR Studio in Shanghai, which connects modern life with an "original landscape" of memory through Material, Modality, and Routine. Through the reconfiguration of objects and scenarios, she invites the audience to engage with the complex field of memory and to reexamine truth and imagination at the point of narrative rupture.
